Homework

Hi Families,
 Just a quick note to let you know that third grade students will be bringing home their first week of homework packets tonight. They are due every Tuesday. Third graders will start their reading journal homework in a few weeks, after we have had time to practice it in class.

Second grade students will start homework next week with the other second grade classes.

For both grade levels, homework is a reading log and 4 additional pages of work to do. I would suggest starting a study routine where they do one page a night. Please try not have your child do all the work in one night. The purpose of homework is to teach good study habits, and create a culture of studying each night. If your schedule at home does not allow for you to do homework sheets Monday-Thursday, feel free to do them on nights that work for your family. They will need to be returned complete to school every Tuesday.
